I genuinely thought this was a) a sick bowl or b) a toilet bowl.
To be fair Spence, I think you once served me that exact dish in your flat in Watford.
Maybe without all the peas.

It looks as though the cottage pie has been dropped onto the plate from a great height.
Possibly in an attempt by kitchen staff to disperse a large group of errant peas.
